Matrix Reloads

DON’T READ THIS, READ THIS! This is where I attempt to understand the Matrix. You see, I just got back from seeing it a third time . . . in IMAX. Naturally, I sat in the back row. I mean, who really needs the visual overload of not only watching the Matrix, but of having it out of proportions because you’re leaning back just to get a comprehensive view? Anyways. I would like to think that I understand just about everything else about the Matrix except for this: why Neo was able to “feel” and stop the Sentinels after the destruction of the Nebuchadnezzar. Then a friend planted a seed of an idea in my mind. He probably knew what he was talking about, so here’s my warped translating. I call it warped because it didn’t make sense to my dad, who is normally a smart guy. In the first … Continue reading →

Part Deaux

For you newbie’s who skipped part alpha and went straight here to part deaux (whatever the hell that means) the following are my vitals. I’m a 17 year old Christian white guy born on July 1. I’ve been dating my girlfriend for about two years. She is a freshman in college and a dancer. I am an Eagle Boy Scout (the highest honor they give out). I’ve had my license since February 3rd, which means I’m not allowed to transport any persons younger than 25 without a 25 year old licensed in’duh’vidual* in the vehicle until I turn 18 this summer. Oh well. I am a senior at Orange County High School of the Arts, a charter school in Santa Ana. I am a musical theatre major which means that I sing songs, act…um…actions, and dance dances. I’m glad that made sense. Another fun fact is that last August I … Continue reading →

Matrices – AMC 30 @ The Block, Orange, CA

Matrix Reloaded blew me away. I saw it on May 15th, the quote-unquote opening day, although the real fun was at those piss-ant, jerk-water “special engagements” which I just don’t buy into . . . unless it’s Star Wars. But anyways . . . I saw it at 12:15 PM at AMC 30 at the City Block of Orange. On a side note, while there I saw a poster advertising THE PUNISHER by Marvel and Artisan coming in 2004. Anyways, to see it at 12:15 PM on a Thursday has to mean that school was either canceled or I had a “doctor’s appointment”. Which do you think it was? So I walk into one of the big four theatres at the Block and back against the wall in horror. I am 45 minutes early for the show and the theatre is . . . empty! I grab a seat and … Continue reading →
